Core Values Worksheet
CORE VALUES WORKSHEET
On your own brainstorm a list of 10-20 core principles, values, beliefs or lessons that you feel are most important for your children to learn and develop, and what you want to stand for as a family. (See help sheet for ideas)
Compare lists with your partner. You will notice that many of the values on your list can be sub principles of a broader core value. (Example: Respect may include: Respect of others, self, parents, environment, beliefs, opinions, property, and laws. It could also include awareness, empathy, perspective, or understanding.) Get down to 5-7 core values that most encompass the broad range of principle, beliefs and structure you and your partner, want to develop in yourself, your children and have in your home.
